Con Noi News December 2018
As you are reading the Vacenti Vibes for December, around you there will surely be plenty of action with people preparing for Christmas. Christmas trees and decorations remind us of Christmas presents, plenty of Christmas fun, drinks etc. All part of the Christmas festivities but most of all we must remember to put Christ back into Christmas.
As I commence the Vacenti Vibes for December, I wish to sincerely thank Alison Quinlan who was acting Manager in my absence and also to Catherine Fitzgerald who assisted on special days. It has been a pleasure to be welcomed back. Thank you to those who have enquired about Heather following her heart surgery. She is now back to her usual happy self. While I was away, we sold our large home and moved into a small home with a smaller garden.
The show went on with Halloween celebrations where there were a great number of residents dressed up for the occasion. The bar area was well decorated as per usual. Melina performed to her utmost best. The residents dressed as ghosts, ghouls, vampires and many other unrecognisable characters. It was a great night.
Melbourne Cup was another occasion where the residents could dress up. It was great to see the fashions of the turf. There were many sweeps and games, as well as great food. Thanks to all those who assisted on the day.
Melissa is our new Aqua Aerobics and gentle exercise instructor who has just returned from a holiday in Japan. Melissa requires a minimum of three residents for the Aqua Class and the Gentle Exercise Class. The water temperature is a perfect 29-30 degrees. Make a note on your calendar every Wednesday commencing at 11:30am and every Friday morning for gentle exercises in the bar area. Please note these are gentle chair exercises, unlike the Heartfit exercises with Bruce. These gentle exercises concentrate on balance, flexing and gentle movements. Please come along and try for yourself. You will be glad you did.
